Description

Specialized Formula for the Dietary Management of Metabolically Stressed Patients

IMMUNEX® Plus is a semi-elemental formula, containing arginine, glutamine and branched-chain amino acids. Immunex® Plus also contains nucleotides, Omega-3 and antioxidants, designed for metabolically-stressed patients.

  • Conveniently provides antioxidants and immunomodulating nutrients such as Glutamine, Arginine, Nucleotides, and Omega-3 fatty acids.
  • Supplemented with 125 g/liter of Glutamine, which helps regenerate intestinal integrity, improving nutrient absorption and strengthening the immune system.
  • Includes Arginine, an important immunomodulator, precursor of collagen and anabolic hormones, which stimulates the immune system, promotes healing and promotes a positive Nitrogen Balance (NB).
  • Supplemented with Branched-Chain Amino Acids (BCAA) that improves Nitrogen Balance (NB) and promote protein synthesis.
  • High protein formula with Lactalbumin, a protein that is easily absorbed and has high nitrogen bioavailability.
  • No added sugar, contains complex carbohydrates. 100% of the Carbohydrate content (Maltodextrin) is slowly absorbed for a lower risk of hyperglycemia and osmotic overload.
  • Contains vitamins and minerals (B complex and antioxidants), to support cellular protection and tissue synthesis.

DIRECTIONS OF USE

For oral or enteral use in metabolically stressed patients, which have:

  • Perioperative and Postoperative Surgery
  • Trauma
  • Burns
  • Pulmonary disease (Mechanical Ventilation)
  • A high risk of infection
  • Sepsis
  • Malnutrition due to metabolic stress
  • Cancer
  • AIDS

PREPARATION AND USE

  • Add one package of IMMUNEX® Plus to 410 mL (13.7 fl oz) at room temperature water into a blender.
  • Blend at high speed for approximately 60 seconds.
  • Serve immediately or refrigerate.

PRECAUTIONS

USE UNDER MEDICAL SUPERVISION
Do not use for patients where immunosuppressant is desired of for patients with renal insufficiency.
For oral and enteral administration only.
Not intended for parenteral use.
